We are very pleased to announce that Clare Merritt has been appointed Manager of the Newton Gateway to Mathematics.

To date, Clare has been the Senior Knowledge Exchange Coordinator for the Gateway, managing Gateway events and developing contacts with non-mathematical academics, industry and business. Clare has led on the delivery of a number of programmes of work including Gateway V-KEMS activity, user engagement delivery for the Cantab Capital Institute for the Mathematics of Information (CCIMI) and the Cambridge Mathematics of Information in Healthcare Hub (CMIH).
 
In September 2022, Jane Leeks the previous Manager of the Newton Gateway to Mathematics, moved on to a new and exciting role in Business Engagement for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law at the University of Bristol, after 9 years helping develop and shape the Newton Gateway. Since then, Clare has taken over managing the Gateway in the interim, and after a recent recruitment round was appointed as Manager of the Newton Gateway to Mathematics. In her new role, she will be leading the Gateway team as they move into their second decade.
