Following on from the Newton Gateway to Mathematics event on Communicating Mathematics for the Public, Dan Aspel and Maha Kaouri interview presenter, writer and comedian Timandra Harkness in the latest INI Living Proof Podcast. 

Timandra chaired two session at the Communicating Maths event, the 3 minute rapid-fire interviews and the Pandemic and Other Emergencies panel discussion. The full recording for the latter session can be found on the event Programme.

Dan, the INI ‘s Communications Manager, and Maha, the Gateway’s Scientific Knowledge Exchange Coordinator met with Timandra, covering her takeaways from the Communicating Mathematics for the Public event, the origins of her interest in maths, her books, current projects and upcoming shows, mingling an arts background with a mathematics focus, how to make maths funny and future projects.
