Abstract:

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer related deaths worldwide. Understanding how tumors evolve and why they metastasize is one key question. By integrating genomic data and path signatures we hope to gain a better understanding of tumor evolution which can help inform future treatment strategies. In this talk we will explain how the signature kernel can be used to make decisions in presence of evolving trees of genetic mutations originating from lung-tumoral masses.
